Whos got a Acer Aspire 2020 series? Happy?

Glad notebookforums.com have decided to open up a forum dedicated to Acer notebook users. I myself have the 2023 model and i'm quite happy with my laptop. But i've only had it for about 3 months. And no flaws or problems with it. I've added a new stick of ram 512 + 256 and plan to get another 512 soon.

I just found out that Dell are or have released a new XP with a monster of a GPU! It just puts my 9700pro to shame ! I want to make my lappy more powerful. Got any suggestions other than buyin a new laptop hard drive to 7200rpm and new ram?

If not any problems with your laptop?

Nope, there's nothing you can do to improve graphics performance. GPU in yours cant be upgraded. You could try an overclock with ATI Tool though. You could also upgrade your CPU, but the peformance increase wouldn't be very significant. URL for ATI Tool: techpowerup.com/atitool

Load in the Omega drivers from here

Its not much when you consider the newer gpu's, but without overclocking I jumped from 2843 to 3048 on 3dMark03.

If I remember correctly, my 2025 have a 4200rpm HD so going with a 7200 would definately help and 768MB of ram is usually good enough for most thing
