Ah, gotcha

Quick question: How does Asus allocate the units to each company? What determines that Company A receives 20 laptop while Company B receives 50 laptops?

Welcome to the club, Sign of Jonah! When we actually get these computers, someone needs to write something for Reseller Reviews.

Allocation is based on turnover rate.

Given the promotion we all are giving out, any Discount Code?
yah, i was surprised to see istnc with absolutely NO reviews!!!

how long has your company been around? if a long time, how long have you been in the online shopping business?

from the people here in the forums, Rick, you seem really nice, honest, and reputable, but I would love to see feedback from previous customers, regarding actual product quality, rma's, warranty, etc.

I just really hope its not a smokescreen w/ customer service like cyberpower/ibuypower

no offense, but its natural to be super nice when you have no feedback and are promoting your site/company to bring in the business.

how much is it for a guaranteed no-dead pixel lappy?

------------------------------------------

so the desktop 6600 is a little better than the x700.
the x800 is better than the x700, but the nvidia 6800 Ultra (dell xps2) blows everyone else away. so how does the 6600 compare to the 6800. again, there arent any reviews, but based on core/mem clock speeds, and pipelines, im sure there are speculations.

------------------------------------------

the screen, its 15.4 wsxga+ (1680X1050) right? thats an awesome screen.
is it glossy or matte? it's hard to tell from the pictures

------------------------------------------

are there sata notebook hdd drives out there yet?
if so, what are the specs, and if so, will istnc be offereing them in the z71v?

The sacrificing the nanners is just a little ritual here at NBF ... we pray to the notebook gods by squishing bananas with the hammer banana. I don't think there is a guaranteed no-dead pixel guarantee at all, but IST states, as posted earlier, that they hate seeing laptops going out the dead pixels.

There are no comparisons of the 6600 to the 6800 as of yet (in notebooks). But I would presume it is about the same jump from going from x700 to x800.

It's not glossy.

istnc will take care of you, ask questions if you're leary. someone in here stated that they let him return his bad pixel notebook in for a deal pixel free unit. but it is not stated in their return policy. they let me return a hard drive free of charge -difference. very customer oriented and want youto be happy with your purchase.....

OK here we GOOO

i did some searching on google (man's best friend)
and here are some info and scores on the 6600 go and there is one link to x700 scores which have some 6800 and x800 scores as well for comparison.

info on 6600 and 6800:
http://www.bit-tech.net/feature/75/
link above also talks about nvidia MXM which is very interesting

http://www.hexus.net/content/reviews...lld19JRD05OTg=

some scores on the 6600:
http://hardware.gamespot.com/Story-ST-x-1485-x-x-x

x700 scores (3dmark05 w/ other tests) also has 6800 and x800 scores:
http://www.extremetech.com/article2/...1752368,00.asp

looks like the 6600go comes in a couple different flavors
since rick from istnc has a eval unit, it would be nice to post the core/mem clock speeds if you can

We have been around since 2000. You can review our Ebay feedback ratings, seller name ISTNC, so far we are at 100% positive feedback
We are ASUS authorized as well as Intel Premier Providers, which no one else selling Intel based notebooks can say:

https://intel.allegis.com/PartnerLoc...m+Technologies

The core of our business has alwys been goverment/education/corporate. In October of last year we decided to sell notebooks at a retail level

I guess that explains the no reviews. It's a good thing you decided to sell retail though, allows us to buy from you

Does anyone know if the Firewire port (1394 B Type Jack) will be able to have a standard Firewire cable plugged into it? I rememebr some discussion a while ago about notebook having a smaller firewire port...is this true? And any suggestions for adaptors if it is true?

Will this laptop come with a WXGA screen in addition to the WSXGA screen? Will there be a expresscard slot and there's azalia support?

The Asus Z71A comes with the WXGA screen. I don't know about the other questions though.
