Battery is listed under Wireless network card in the customization menu. Click on the box, and it should give you 3 options: Smart Li-Ion Battery, 2nd battery option, and 2 main batteries.

You have too take out the optical drive to use the second battery, so if u wanted to play games on long trips, want extra battery, but need the cd to play the game do what the rest of us do cd-crack it

Ahh, well maybe he wrote that, but on the link to their website in the beginning of this thread it lists different specs for the dvd burner, which is what I was going off of as I was sitting there configuring it and wondering.

He, ISTNC, lists it as having gigabit in the stat block, but not in the pulldown selection area and of course the manual doesn't say it has gigabit ethernet. And so as per a few pages back when you mentioned the differences with the 8104, the gigabit, bluetooth, and dvi would be differences, pro acer. But then again I'm reading some bad things about some poor people's acer's in the acer forum. I think at this point I'll probably try and hold out and see what the turion does as I've waited this long. It'll also give me time to read all of your guys reviews on this asus

It allows you to run games without the CD or DVD. Check it out here.

Don't pay for that program. There are plenty of websites that you can get no-cd cracks for games (www.gamecopyworld.com www.megagames.com to name a couple). It is perfectly legal as long as you own a copy of the game. Or if you have a program to make iso's get Daemon Tools (http://www.daemon-tools.cc/dtcc/portal/portal.php) for free to mount them and use that to play. I personally crack all of my games so I don't waste time finding the cd and ruin it with scratches.

I thought most of the games these days no longer required you to have the CD in the drive to play. No?

Some do, some don't... depends on the game.

There wasn't a snowball's chance in hell of me finding a D3 crack and trust me on that there is no snow in hell, i've been there

$29 is a fa0r price insted of a cd-crack which could screw up my game(happened before)

I actually got a crack for Doom3 from megagames: http://megagames.com/cracks/html/c912850_0.htm
If it does screw up your game (happened to me once out of the... around 20 times I have done it) a reinstall should fix it.

Please... this is getting quite off topic. Now back on topic:

Has anyone email Rick recently and got a reply? Because I emailed him yesterday about the MS Office and he hasn't replied...

The laptops are in So-Cal awaiting clearance from customs. After that they are being overnighted to ISTNC in North Carolina (?). Hopefully we will hear more news at the end of the week. Doubtful but I'll keep my eyes open. I was hoping to get it tomorrow for my birthday.

Edit: All info from ISTNC.

So who will have the first complete detail review of it?!
I certainly want to see a review...

I think Edwin will get his pretty quickly, as he lives semi-near IST. But us Canadians are going to have to wait a while ... unles you spend $250 for air shipping!

@Edwin: Where did you get that shipping info? Is it on the website, or did you email them? THanks.
