I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas of what to do to keep the Inspiron 8600 I purchased about a month and a half ago from changing screen resolutions unsolicited. I have an NVIDIA GeForce FX Go5200 video card and a WSXGA+ monitor that I try to keep set at 1280 X 800, but two or three times a day it decides it wants to switch to either a higher or lower screen resolution when I boot up, come out of standby mode, or enter my user domain. I believe that it has occasionally changed when I've been working within my user area as well. I called tech support once about the problem. They had me reinstall the operating system, but that did not fix the problem. Any ideas as to what I should do?
