Fujitsu usually uses Uniwill or Mitac laptop designs. So depending on their model, you could look up the review for the ODM.

By the way, Sempron = old thorughbreed chip design. Which is the older brother of the Barton design.

They discontinued the Duron and sort of beef up the old thoroughbreed design. Same amount of cache. Less cache than Barton design.

I would go with Barton design if you are going with AMD XP. More internal cache.

I would say the sempron is a nice cheap alternative. Though you should look towards the 64-bit version if you are going with AMD.

People like to use the AMD-XP-M because it is not locked and you could overclocked. People tends to use it in desktop systems for that fact. You could overlock an XP-M more than you could overclock an XP.

www.amdforums.com have a few discussion around AMD processors.

In general, the Fujitsu laptop isn't too bad since they are based off the popular ODM such as the Mitac 8050 and Uniwill 258KOA version.
