Can a laptop plug into a crt? and speakers?

I am about to purchase either a dell 8600 or a dell 8500 and i was wondering if they have video out for a 21 inch flatscreen monitor that connects via a vga cord. i also have logitech z 560's, i know that the laptop wont have 4.1 sound but i was wondering if it would connect to the logitechs anyways??

any help would be appreciated..


DO i need to purchase a docking system for this to work?

Without looking at the laptop i can give you an almost 100% guarentee that it WILL have an output for an external monitor. And yes you can connect your speakers aswell.

for the speakres u need a y-splitter connector

go to radioshack and they will get u the appropriate thing

cost about $5
