Indefinitely meaning approx. 10 hours and 10 passes with 0 errors. IMO, 10 times thru with 0 errors is pretty definitive. Agree, disagree?

I'll have 2 X 512MB of Corsair for my wife's I6000 tomorrow and i'll run the 10 pass test on it as well and post the results.
Thanks BRB

Gosh you are patient!

Just ran 4 passes of the F12 diag memory test with no errors. Maybe I'll run the non "plus" version of memtest tonight and see how that does.

Hey all, so what is the best deal going now for a 1gb stick? I saw that CIC raised their price to $139+shipping, but I'm reading they are on backorder for 2 weeks. Memory4Less has theirs over $175 now (ouch!). I see Transcend has theirs for $162 with free shipping... looks like I'm going with Transcend unless anyone else has other advice.

FYI - I did receive my Kingston stick today from CIC (well, from Kingston really). I popped it in and it works. I don't have time to do the memtest since I'm selling that 9300 to a friend and he's leaving tomorrow. I ordered a new 9300 with the WUXGA and 256mb g-card.

spartan tech shipped on time for a good price.. corsair.. I am not going to ever... take my business to people at CIC.. or the likes.. A little courtesy is all they need to have.. PS. No wait.. no back order... decent price.. with overnight shipping i was below 300 (20$ total more than CIC ..which was with SLOW shipping)

Overnighted today.. I'll get it Monday. (It was Fedexed.. is there a way I can pick it up from a FedEx office if by any chance it reached my town / city?)

Ordered the 1 gig Corsair from spartan on Thursday and it arrived the next day. Memory was sealed and well boxed. I ordered from spartan last year for a hard drive and back then had excellent service as well.
I am done with Kingston. I know they had short supplys, but calling them directly after waiting a week since directly ordering, they claimed they never had in stock. BS, they were sending them out to vendors before individuals.
The Corsair has been testing for 14 hours with no errors in a Sony along with the stock Sony 256 chip.

Just to confirm... this is the sodimm you guys purchased?
CMVS1GSDS533D2 -
1024MB MEMORY PC4300 128MX64 1024MB 200 PIN SODIMM DDR2 CORSAIR VALUE SELECT BRAND MEMORY

And it works in your i9300?

Looks like a good deal... I can get ground shipping for $8 since I'm in no hurry. That makes it $150 out the door!

Thanks again
I think someone around ordered that one.. but.. whats is with the PC4300? ... I thought it had to be PC4200 ...
Now we need to see DDR2 SODIMM's with tighter timings

That's the one. I believe it's the only 533 sodimm Corsair currently has. It's product spec indicates it's guaranteed to work in any 915 based laptop. That's all I needed to hear,,unlike Kingston's Valueram.
Azote, 4300 is just a typo on Spartans part, it is 4200.

Ever get the feeling we are being watched? Over the course of this thread, the memory module first mentioned at NewEgg (transcened) has decreased in price to keep it in the running for best deal for a 1gb stick.... currently it is at $135.00

They can watch all they want as long as the prices get lower

Just got my 2x 1GB Corsair RAM and installed them on 9300 yesterday. I ran memtest 3.2 and it passed 5 times without any error. PC-4300 is probably a typo, but somehow CPU-Z 1.28.4 shows it as well...

Regarding the CL 3,4,5 thing, I believe all current DDR2 PC-4200 RAM have them. CL 3 at 200 MHz, CL 4-5 at 266 MHz (SPD timings).

I'm so grabbing me 1GB from Newegg NOW! WOO!
Yeah, the newegg price is GREAT. I had already bought 1GB at around $170. I am not upset I waited as the difference was definetly worth the cost. I would have hated not having the extra the whole time. I am wanting to buy another 1GB stick, but just cant swipe the card. It has been steadily declining for the last week, I can wait this time.
