Try searching for "sodimm". I don't think NewEgg's search engine is very good. There are many times I've searched for things I KNOW they had, but the search engine wouldn't give me results.

New Egg is down to $130. I wonder how low they can go!

Around $130 is about the lowest I have seen any 1GB stick of RAM go for in the past 4 to 5 years. That includes all the different types of desktop RAM too, so I don't think it will go down to much more.

Well,I did it. Just ordered 2 1GB sticks of Transend from Newegg. I really don't think I need that much but I won't have to think about it down the road. I hope I won't be sorry I got that much and didn't really need it.
$260..00,no tax,free ship

Newegg currently has 70 of those 1gb sticks left in stock. There were 75 as of 5pm today.

Really? I was hoping it would drop to around $100

Where does it say how many are in stock?

Thats me!

Maybe in a year or so. But there's too much demand right now for it to drop much further. But then again, it's the crazy RAM market we're talking about. Who knows?
In this crazy RAM market, if the supply suddenly falls because of a low yield at a particular plant and the demand stay high, these prices could rocket back up to $300 in a matter of weeks. It happened about 18 months ago when I purchased a 1GB stick of PC-2100 SODIMM from Crucial for about $189 and then the follwing week, I wanted another stick and the price was already at $329!!!

If you can wait for a while for the RAM prices to drop further, go ahead, but let me remind you that the physical difference between $130 and $100 is no where as great as let say $300 and $130.

Got one from Newegg, thanks for the info!

can't believe that zipzoomfly can't even verifiy my address!

i ordered 2gb of the transcend of newegg as well. but i did it a week ago when it was 160- that was a great price. I could have saved 60 bucks now, but i didnt think it would ever go that low

So 2 questions, People dont think that the price will drop a lot more?

And is this the best deal on 1 Gig sticks?

And I cant remember, has anyone actually tested this stick to see if it really works @ 533?

Yes, runs at 533, ive tested it for over 14 hours with zero problems.

I ordered the proprietary dell ram from transcend for 162 shipped and honestly doubt it is any different than the generic. I ordered some transcend generic from newegg to compare.

14 hours of testing show no errors.

Very happy with transcend, I havent heard of anyone having problems with transcend memory.

Newegg is now down to 62 1gb sticks of the Transcend RAM

May I ask how you are testing their stock availability? Tell me you are not radomly adding more items until it tells you they don't have any more!

I just enter a quantity of 99 and hit the update button. They will lower it down to the amount they have available.

Cool, that's good to know! Thanks!

Now down to 59. I think I may just have to pick up 2 sticks. $130 per gig is smoking.
down to 59.

I may break down here form the 512 that I have, and run 1.2 Gigs. Scared of throwing the money away.... Will I really notice a big diffrence?

You should get a nice boost going up to a 1gb. I think that should be the minimum for gaming.
