Because of the light weight, performance, looks and longer battery time.

Other than SLI setups, what else out there is better than the desktop graphics boards in this line-up? Look careful, now...which system is on the top? Yes, yes, I know...it surprised me, too...

I'm in the here-and-now. I'm no psychic and I can't tell you what's around the corner. But if this is the direction that laptop gaming may be headed, it's going to give desktop gaming a run for it's money for those gamers who want ultra-portability for the LAN gaming scene or other purposes.

Depends what kind of P4. If you mean an EE then probably not.

7700's use Prescott's right? No I don't think it will beat it in multimedia/multitasking since P-M's don't support hyperthreading. Unless you plan to encode dvd's + browse webpages at the same time often then it doesn't really matter.

7700's use the 570j 2mb L2 cache and 800mhz fsb. i've tried to look around for a comparison table but have yet to find. because i like to let's say listen to music, browse the web and at the same time use adobe photoshop or burn some cds and transfer files from my external hdd etc. will the p4m slow down?

I bought it because I can get a three year at home warranty, 6800 ultra and 2 hours of battery life! To think I considered a 9860 for the same price--glad I waited!
