Hi , I considered myself to be a new bie in laptops worlds.
And i need help From all the Pros out there to advise me to choose a good laptop for me :P
.
Anyway my first laptop was a Texas Instrument Travel mate With P 150 MMX
that was long ago, now it already died :P
after that i use a desktop system cause i have a trauma using laptop as my texas Instrument suffer from a lots of bad sectors on the Hard Disk
But soon after that i bought this So called "desk note" from ECS which is bassically a laptop without a built-in Battery, with Celeron 1,0 Shared V card, 256 MB, and 20 G hard disk, it's very basic, but i'm quite satisfied with it,
Cause i Find desktop to be very untidy on my work table, alot of wires and eat alot of spaces
Anyway, now i'm in search for a "real" laptop as time for me to upgrade from my ECS desknote.
I will use it mainly to surf the net, Making Excel, managing and editing my videos, picture, and MP3s. Gaming wise i only play those like NBA Live, or Championship Manager, Im not in to those 3D games.
Ill connect it mainly to AC outlet, as i Seldom bring my laptop around, so battery life is not a big problem with me. And i want a 15'4 Wide screen.
Anyway i want it to be good built and last long.
Im Still Deciding to buy either
The Acer Ferrari 3400 with 512 MB ram
or
Asus W1SNA Spek: 1,8 Dothan,512 RAm,80G 4200 rpm,dvdrw,ATI RADEON 9600 64 MB.
The factors that i like about the ferrari is that it uses athlon XP64, so i think it gonna be "more" future proof than the asus's dothan right ??
but I like The Asus more in Designs, SXGA Wide screen, and the cool a;uminium casing.
the price is about the same between those 2, right here in my country.
I'll mainly use it for internet, light gaming (the sims, fifa, Nba live), office works (Word and Excel), light photo and video editing.
so which one is more suitable for me?
can any pros here give me some advice , thank you
and also does the "RED" of the ferrari look ugly , cause basically i;m not a fan of ferrari,
but the Specs and the price is quite tempting :P
Please help me to decide ,
thx

And while there is no garentee that 64 bit technology will become standard in 1-2 years time, you won't be left in the cold if it does.
