sorry i'm not really genius in Computer world,
so from the information that i gather from variuos forums,
bottom line is that the Ferrari will be much faster in any area eg.ecxell, photoshop, etc? because of the AMD CPU?
and also it will display better graphic for games because of the better Graphic card ?

or i'm wrong ??

anyway i just come acroos this ZDnet review which said that the ferrari 3200 is slow,
it even loses to IBM T42 in 3dmark!!
now i'm confuse again,
doesn't the IBM T42 spec is lower than the asus W1N???

i just want laptop that is fast in simple task and occasionally games.

so is the AMD on the ferrari os slower because most programs outhere are more design for Intel's chip??

So Sorry, i'm quite an idiot in computer :P

Hey, don't worry so much. You have picked two very respected and well built notebooks. Ferrari and W1N owners luv their notebooks and there haven't been any major problems with either. Honestly you can't go wrong picking one over the other.

Performance wise the W1N and Ferrari 3400 are close to equal. Unless you are using benchmarking programs to measure eash and evey point of performance, you will not feel any diffrence. You won't be able to tell that an excell sheet loads .001 seconds faster on one computer or if you get that extra 2 frames per second playing Doom 3 on another. Computer enthusiasts care about every point, regular users care about what they can get done. Note: A majority of people here are enthusiasts.

Photoshop is a CPU intensive task not Grafics card. The faster your CPU the faster you can render and manipulate photoshop projects. Grafics cards are use to drive games and 3D tasks like 3d studio, etc...

AMD chips are compatiable with Intel and vice verca. But each chip has it's own strengths and weaknesses. AMD is known for it's better gameing while Intel is the audio/video encoding champ. Depending on what benchmarks are run a review of a computer will prove either faster or slower compared to the competition. Check other review sites as well as these forums to get a better idea of the Ferrari's and W1Ns performances.

Lastly, both computers are good. You can't go wrong with either if you get it from a good seller. I suggested the Ferrari because of the price. At $1600 that's $300 less what you can get it from newegg regulary. I'm not sure how reliable your blackmarket source is. But at $1600 the Ferrari 3400 is a steal. And if you want to upgrade in the future, you can use the money that you saved.

@rustican :P
thank you so much for the detailed explanation :P
i quite wonder wheter the Aus W1n Chassis which made of aluminium or some kind of metal will electrocute or not ?
cause last month i put this usb flexible light on My ECS notebook usb, and when i touch the light(made of metal frame) it electrocute me!!! it';s not those minor ant's bite thing but that's really shock me!
it hit me so hard until the note book fell to the ground and died instantlly.
I didn;t wear any slipper, and my room floor made from normal tile, not wooden nor carpet.
and the other time also when i wanted to charge my ipod through it;s usb, it did eclectrocute me too on the base of the ipod which is made of metal.

so i'm afraid wheter the W1N could give me same kind of problem or not.

can any W1N owner verify this ?
thanks.

I can strongly recommend the Acer Ferrari 3400, it's quality all around no doubt about it. The red paint job is just beautiful, as a matter of fact the entire laptop is a beauty. However, don't be fooled by its good looks. There's a speed demon hiding behind its sweet exterior just waiting to be unleashed

If you like the W1N so much because of the design, wait a couple of weeks for the V6V. It also has the aluminum brush design and replaces the W1N!!!

i like the design of W1n More than the V6V
anyway does V6V comes with wide screen too ?
yes it does

The only differences I see between them is the M1N looks like a two shade chassis while V6 seems only 1 heheeh
