Memory question

If i have 256 ram that runs at 400 mhz and then get a stick of 512 that runs at 533 mhz and put them both in, that will make the 533 run at 400 right? but it will work won't it, having 768 at 400? or are they not compatible?

yes, it will work just fine. it will only run at 400mhz.
