Hmm... yeah so I don't know what is going on. All I do notice is that your Gigabyte Client Utility looks totally different than mine. Not that that means anything because I can't connect to the internet either!!
My ethernet gave out a couple of months ago after having worked for about a month after I got it. Now it always says "limited or no connectivity". At least it recognizes the cable. The PCMCIA card that I'm using in my ancient computer right now in order to send this doesn't even read the cable when I use it in the 8790.
The wireless has been getting less and less predictable. Sometimes it will connect, sometimes not. It is more reliable with the university networks in classrooms than the one in the dorm rooms. With the one in the dorms it has been successfully connecting less and less frequently, and sometimes will contect and then suddendly irrevocably disconnect while I'm doing something online. But the thing that I don't understand is how can it be variable at all?!? Shouldn't it either connect all the time or not all the time?
Anyway, at this point the wireless actually doesn't seem to be working at all. I called PCTorque and spoke with Adam (I don't know if it was THE Adam, but it was some guy called Adam) for an hour and we exhausted all his ideas and he said to call Sager which I will do. I'm sure I'm going to have to send this thing in because of the stuff of network trouble that I've read about with the 8790 on this forum, but my symptoms don't sound quite identical, so if anyone has any ideas for either Sir Tony or myself I would ove to hear them.
[Sorry Sir Tony, I know this didn't help you AT ALL!
