Wireless Problems

i'm having problems connecting to an open wireless network even though i was able to connect to it the week before. i get at least a good signal, and people around me are able to connect. the wireless adapter doesn't even see the network. any ideas? i'm running xp w/ sp2 and all updates. there is a new wireless update on microsoft's update site, and i think i'll download it


i was however able to connect last night when i had an extremely low connection.

well i'm able to connect now without problems. i don't know if the problem was resolved last night, or if the new driver resolved the problem. i was unable to connect at about 5:00 PM when i should have had a good connection, but when i went to another building for a class at 7:00 PM, i was able to connect with a barely there signal.
