I am sorry I should have posted this question in a forum dealing with terestial AKA Terra ferma, not celestial quantam mechanics. Topic computer internal speed without being online or using broadband. I have been fascinated in learning about the terms I heard by characters Klatu and Professor Barnhardt in, "The Day The Earth Stood Still" 1951; this movie was made 4 years after 'I' was born in 1947.

Rant: Chazzy honey time to wake up we've got things to do, shall I turn on the computer or the coffee machine? Would you like to take a shower we can still converse thru your newly installed Dolby Surround speakers you had installed. Shall I read you the latest news from your NewsReader or would you prefer to sing while your in the shower. Chazzy would you like to make it a duet, I am knowledgable in 30 milllion songs, give or take a few milllion. Rant over

It's not a matter of stumping me, I get what he said. It's a matter of where the hell in left field did he dig THIS topic up???

the iXPS2 has lights on it. The light comes out of the LED's at the speed of light. HOWEVER SHIPPING IS A WEE BIT SLOWER!!!! Unless they ship them from one of the neighboring solar systems, in which case, they're actually faster than the speed of light.

when will the speed of light be attained..open your eyes and you will see light...or in your laptop's case, open the lid and hit power and you will see light

Uh Huh . . . Yeah . . . Whatever you said. I agree.

There never will be as fast a computer as the speed of light. Physics is still pondering that question, so they aren't goin to be made by intel any time soon.

Intel want to get strange cpu designs out be 2012. That's when hp's transistor will go into production capacity too.

It'll take them a bit, but that's when the funky cpu's come out. Maybe longer to put them into notebooks.

But we'll never see pc's go to the speed of light. Man isn't perfect, so the production to do those cpu's/Programs(A.I) will never be possible by man.

Those lights on the iXPS2...I think somebody got one early and stared into the LEDs for about 73 hours straight.

You guys heard of the 27th Century computer? Inter-neural connection link system. you just slap a "suction cup" type of wire to your head and voila! your brain is your CPU anything you think give you the output in a hybrid monitor. There you go, BRAIN with the speed of light and mentally virtual unlimited storage.

Sorry Sonicwind but LED stands for Light Emiting Diode not the speed of.

Picard you've been watching a bit too much of "Quatermass and the Pit", where they strap electrodes on Dr. Rony and get visuaizations from the subconcius mind or Dr. Ronys assistant when she was in direct contact with the 5 million year old space ships memories of life on MARS.
