are you using speedswitchxp or some other power management schemes? if so, you may have it set where it will reduce power to the wireless device

go to device manager and look at the properties for your wireless card. There should be a setting for the power consumption, Set it to max preformance.

Also, make sure that the firmware on the router is the most recent.

I had a linksys that was dropping all the time. I made these two changes and it has not dropped the connection since.

Hope this helps.

i'm using a dlink 624 with my 2200 and also with another 2100 and never had any drops.

maybe u should reset/update the bios on the dlink? and also your laptop for the wireless card?

b/c you are probably using the intel procom software rather than windows xp handling it...you can adjust power properties by accessing the intel software.
