ASTU - praise from you doesn't get any better

If you look at the rear of the case pic the only mod I had to do was elongate the top right & lower left fan holes using a jewlers file. The I was able to secure the assembly using supplied hardware. Everything else was easy.

OK, I don't know if the kit addressed this but, move the radiator outside the case, the warm temps from the mobo will heat that sucker up quick. Second, add a VGA cooler you won't regret it. Go to www.dangerden.com they can get you one.

Second, what did they supply for coolant? H20, and glycol even distilled gets alge and thats a nasty problem to fix. If you can do it Fuid XP+ is a nice product.

All gotchas that have burned me in the past.

YOu didn't really put water in did you? YOu could just have put in without water to make Astu think you are cool.

To bad you can't admire your work.... Without opening up the case.

Very nice work though O.O What about some temp changes?

edit: and is that an led cpu waterblock?!

Was running 66C after running 3DMark05 @ 3.768 GHz now its finishing up at 48C and this is with the radiator fan at 1900 rpm instead of the Intel processor fan roaring at 4260 rpm.

Yes the waterblock has a blue LED as does the pump/reservoir

Yeah..I hear you....it came out looking neat and tidy.....too bad the Predator Case looks so damn good or I'd have a window.

Time-Pilot I will look into your suggestions for coolant, we have many closed cooling systems at my work, the lab here has some neat additives as well.

I also can't beleive how fast I got the kit and for the lowest price on-line, they were $50 less than NewEgg who I use alot and is still great imho. But check them if you need something. I used the chapest shipping available from Chicago to Florida - it shipped Tuesday - here Thursday - VERY PLEASED

Thanks PC Powerzone - http://store.pcpowerzone.com/index.html

Good support potential from Thermaltake too, one of the owners emailed me asking to send him photos after install. I had wriiten thm asking if they had fit the fan/radiator in a predator case (they hadn't tried). They are very interested in my install into an Alienware system for obvious marketing reasons. But now I may get some inside info if needed for future enhancements. I may consider cooling the chipset, which would eliminate another fan.

Thanks TL

Just got up and checked it out running 41C normally 51C with fan at idle 3.468 GHz. And its now quiet - very pleased so far

I think with some tweaking you can get into the 20's, took me a few different design shifts, and suggestions from people on the board, Astu being one of them. But my system hums along at about 22 under load.

wow that's some killer temps Time, btw what were your before and after benches on 3dmark?

Very good temps you must know a thing or two about cooling. One of the reviewer of my cooler just reversed flow and picked up 3C then pulled cool air in another 3C to 4C drop so it can be improved.

sorry that question about the 3dmark was directed to you mj =P

I went from 5718 to 5734 but I didn't really tweak or over clock any higher (although I now can). The big difference was the CPU fan wasn't running at 4300 rpm and actually vibrating the case and internals. It didn't sound or act any diff from normal operation and that was my biggest goal.

nice very very nice, well I'll be piecing my h20 system as soon as I receive my machine and do some measurements...come on phase 4 please go to phase 4!!!! =P
