Anybody take delivery on Dell 8600 yet?

There is a sticky thread called "Experience with Your Dell!" at the top of this forum. Have a look at that as it has plenty of feedback.
As for my experience, this machine is very quick! With it decked out with a P-M 1.7GHz CPU, 1GB of RAM, the 7K60 and the M10 it is a powerhouse in games and other applications. Not too impressed with the Blue decal, but on the whole it is an attractive model, especially the lid in a beautiful brushed metal silver with stainless steel badge... puuuurdy.
I have the WSXGA and it is fantastic. Its bright, colourful and looks gorgeous. Best of all I find it more readable than the old WUXGA in my i8500 (which is the same as the WUXGA in the i8600).
About the WUXGA, it is just as bright and beautiful, but I found the fonts and icons hard on the eyes and none of the remedies turned me on.. so I stuck with the native 1920 x 1200 @ 96DPI. The main reason I changed over was not the screen, but I do find the new WSXGA more comfortable.
Anyway, overall a great system, for more opinions check out the sticky thread.

No. Nobody has taken delivery on the 8600.

Surely you meant the 9100 or XPS ... the 8600 has been around for many moons now.
