Hi guys, I gotta question that's not native Toshiba, but since I'm using a tecra...

I just picked up a USB 2.0 housing that came with an internal 30GB hdd that is ATA-5. I tried swapping this drive with the 12GB ATA-4 drive in my tecra 8100, but when I try to install an OS, i get an error that no HDD was detected.

Does anyone know if the ATA-5 drives work in an ATA-4 motherboard, or more specifically, the tecra 8100? Or do I have some other problem, maybe with the harddrive?
