Question About 8890 Pricing Among Resellers, and Warranty Question

PC Torque seems to have the very lowest pricing on the 8890, which is great.

I also have read that they'll start offering paint jobs for the 8890 - or at least this is hypothetical at this point, but if true, that's exactly what I've been waiting for, for the 8890!

But what I want to know is, why does Hypersonic charge so much for the 8890 as opposed to everyone else? I've been shopping around different sites on the net for the 8890, and even without a custom paint job, Hypersonic is charging about $700-800 more than PC Torque, even though the systems are configured exactly the same! That's quite a difference.

I've been wondering why it is that Hypersonic charges such a premium. Apart from charging more than maybe they should, is there something about Hypersonic's 8890's that I'm not aware of, as opposed to PC Torque's? I could understand a couple hundred dollars difference, but I'm just trying to figure out where the extra $700-800 is going to, besides into Hypersonic's pocket.

Or maybe another question is, how can PC Torque offer it for such a low price?

Can anyone shed any light on this? (Just trying to be a smart shopper).

One last question: Who does PC Torque offer their extended warranty through? I didn't find an answer to this on their site.

I just read about the forum rules. Didn't know before I started this thread, and wasn't aware that posting these type of questions was an issue. But to my credit, I think any smart shopper would ask the same question I did. Nonetheless, I'll try and avoid posting these types of questions in the future.

Someone could always PM, though.

Just a different way to do business I suppose. From what I've gathered, PCTorque's general business strategy is to offer awesome customer support, attracting more sales, and because of the higher sales volume they can afford to lower their prices to make smaller amounts of money in quantity.

Other companies probably make fewer sales, so their markup needs to be higher to stay afloat.
