You need to install Windows Media Encoder to run PCMark®04.

I don't have a notebook. Yet. So this is my dell pentium 4 desktop pc.

This one was done Today.

Post your notebook score. Please. I'll probably post mine for my i6000 with integrated graphics when I get it.

Eh,what the hell. I'm downloading it now, and I'll run it on my new i700m. I think I have the "full" version at home, or maybe it's 3DMark. Full version has more tests I think. But I'm getting the one you linked to, and I'll update this post when the test is done.

edit: Done.

1147 PCMarks

System: Dell Inspiron 700m
CPU: Intel Dothan 745 (1.8GHz)
RAM: 512mb PC2700 (2x256mb)
HDD: Hitachi 7K60 7200rpm 8mb cache
Video: Intel Extreme graphics (integrated)

Ran the tests while running on battery, so that might have affected performance a bit. Yep, test results screen show "Intel(R) Pentium(R) M processor 1.8GHz @ 598MHz". I'll re-run the tests later with the laptop plugged into A/C power and see if the results score any higher.

edit #2: Yep, plugged my 700m into A/C power and re-ran the tests. It shows:

"Intel(R) Pentium(R) M processor 1.8GHz @ 1793GHz"

My score this time: 3121 PCMarks

Much better!

Score 2796
1.6 Dothan
512 RAM
Hitachi 5200

I set my settings as dynamic switching so I also don't know if this affected the test.

How did you do that? I have a 1.8 Dothan and a 7200rpm HDD, so I *should* score close to your, I would think.

Looks like the older models are hammering the newer models

2923 for my soon-to-be-replaced Toshiba 1955 (2.5GHz p4m, 512M Ram, 440 go 64M), and 4263 for my P4 3.2GHz X800 desktop.

3054 with my laptop. Also, I noticed how your guys laptops slow down when on battery power, where do I control that? I just downloaded and ran this program sitting here watching tv on battery, and it said "Intel(R) Pentium(R) M processor 1.60GHz @ 1597MHz." Can I slow that down on battery power to save some energy and extend my battery life?

Edit: did it a second time to test consistency, but closed some programs and stuff, second time was 3217.

Edit 2: I love doing this, heh. Put the program's priority on real time to see if it would help much, 3304. Also put my laptops settings down for higher battery life, 1418.

My parent's desktop killed at over 4200 though...oh well.

2718 here

to change power schemes, if you have the battery icon or cable icon in the systray showing, just right click that and select adjust power properties, or right click the desktop and go to properties > screen saver > power
