wow....I am really considering getting the 12" powerbook over the 12" ibook......

i actually had the ibook for about a month, and i really think the bigger hard drive, the casing, faster processor, and the bluetooth is well worth upgrading from an ibook. I noticed the ibook just wasn't built well compared to my powerbook and they ibook seems to get really really dirty on the palmrest. Only advantage of havnig the ibook is the extra hour of batterylife, but that wasn't worth it to me. If you really want to get a good deal on a powerbook only $100 more check out microcenter. here's the link

i'd jump all over that deal if i were you, really sweet deal. and the battery on the 1.33ghz lasts alot longer than the new 1.5processor's so i've heard.

RMHOP81,

how much was the price of the 1.33GHz pb at microcenter. I checked yesterday and i through it was $1099, just check today and it was $1299. Was i just seeing things yesterday?

cause' $1299 is only $100 difference from the 1.5Ghz 12" pb using student discount at the apple store.

yeah that's weird man, my gf ordered it this past thursday for $1,099 it must have been so badass sale, weird how it just jumped up to 1299 like that.

damnit!!!

OMG, when oh when will microcenter drop that price again, i can not believe they bumped it up, didn't even say it was a sale when it was $1099, SO NOT COOL. And you could've gotten additional $100 for signing up for microcenter CreditCard, $999 for 1.33GHz 12" powerbook
post #31 of 43

You can pratically get the same thing by ordering it online from apple. Except it is the new one with 1.5Ghz, 512MB, everything else looks the same. By the time you spend the extra cash for memory it may come out to the same thing, plus you get Tiger (well, gotta wait one more day)
well it dosen't come out to the same thing
