Satellite A10 S-169 System warning: Cooling problem

Hi friends. I got 3 problems w/ this notey.
Problem1: A month ago, after turning on the stuff, the fan started to foo (blow) but then stopped. Then it started again, and stopped again (in 10-20secs). Then i got the system warning concerning the cooling failure and advising me to turn off the notey and return it for service. This was a month ago. I thought the thermal paste from between the cpu and heatsink had f*cked out, and i was right. I put there some more paste and the problem disappeared.
Now, after a month, I turned on the stuff, but the fan did not start blowing at all and after a few minutes i got the system warning: cooling failure bla bla bla. When i connected the fan to my mobile phone battery, the fan worked. But when connected in my notebook, no move, no groove. wtf? Now i have my fan connected to my mobile phone charger and it worx. The system warning occurs sometimes, when i overload the cpu. but the note worx normally. So we know that the fan is ok, now is the board f*cked up? can any bios update help?
problem2: my note cannot wake up from standby or hibernation. I turn on, and get just a black screen. The leds also turn on, but the disk led doesnt blink... I start pressing alt f4, win-e, ctrl alt del, but no disk activity, no wakeup. just totally black screen. then i pressed Fn-F7 (brightness up) several times and the screen turned grey, like if it was on but showed black colour.
Problem3: Disk. Also about a month ago, i heard some totally weird sounds coming from the location of disk. It sounded like scratching but very weird and really not sexy and not nice sound. Then i couldnt read some large file from the disk. After checking, chkdsk found some bad clusters. Is it bad? are new bad clusters gonna occur? if yes, how long will my disk live?
thx 4 help.

is this a compal manufactured toshiba? check the class action lawsuit on the 5005 series. symptoms sound the same. betcha they issue a dumbed down bios to underclock the cpu to cool things down. that is what happened to my 3005 but no class action since my model only sold for a few months. not enough people but they all come from the same compal factory that tosh has these things made for them by.
