A few pics of my Medion 40274(left) and Acer 8104(right)

front

I put the 8104's stickers on the Medion to increase it's power and stability.

How did u do that? I suggest doing the LCD frames as well, the colors don't match at all

I used woodgrain con-tact paper and clear laminate from my local Wal-Mart. The texture of the black plastic around the LCD prevents the con-tact paper from sticking.

Materials

All of the covered covered buttons remain fully functional and the leds are visible through the translucent wood grain.

you should be punished...severely!

Um.....just so you know....termite damage isn't covered in the warranty

what the hell... those things look weird.

not my style really, but kind of cool in a unique way.

at least you cant get a splinter. looks cool in a strange way

I was thinking of doing a similar thing with my impending laptop. Contact paper and laminate seems a much better option than spending hundreds of dollars for auto paint. Or, just paper it white and paint the thing myself

Its cool but not something I would do...i would do a naked woman LOL......oh and I see your a maple story player....I play that game sometimes too....MastaYi<---username...

Now that is just WRONG!

Nice job by the way.

Very talented, but it looks very annoying!
wow, covering the LEDs is cool

but yeah, I don't really like the look of the wood, but to each his own!

lol, just don't mistake ur laptops for a block of wood :P

I originally wanted to use black marble or another pattern but couldn't find any in local stores.
My options were:
a) use the woodgrain that I already had
b) buy a decorative floral print from Wal-mart

Since I'm not a big fan of decorative floral prints, option a) wins. If I sell it later, I can take the contact paper off and the outer plastic will look good as new.

Hey IceMage

Nice job
How long did it take ?

You have wayyyyyyyyy too much time on your hands.

Why?....

New breed of modding styles about flourish, eh?

Someway, it looks pretty cool and the craftmanship looks solid. Just remember to put the "Don't try this at home, kids" -sign blinking, since someone with a vision without the skill could come out with a very funky outcome. And my god, think about all the improbable risky situations you can get yourself into with that deveicing texture! Lets just say you come into a lodge after some intense hiking and want to take a well deserved nap and leave your sweet sweet Acer on the floor. Next thing you know as you wake up; some home-Arnold with a grotesque long beard and a bad eye sight is chopping your lappy with an axe as firewood.

Everything said, I personally would _never_ do such abuse to my laptop. Cool pictures though.

it's a kind of fabric-covered laptop. I like pattern of wood~

Acer is more good.
