Wooden Acer 8104 - Page 2

I can definitely say that NOONE else has a laptop that looks like that. Mind posting a set of instructions? I would consider doing something like that, but the impending laptop looks pretty good as it is I reckon. Maybe I would use a darker wood colour for the laminate.

Nice work though...

At least no one will steal it
does it catch fire better?
i mean how well does it withstand heat temps

Job well done

At least the green party can't blame you for forest dieback

i'm sorry but that looks so stupid. wood and fake wood can go in so many places. but apparently not a laptop.

now, if you would have taken out all the parts and fashioned yourself an actual laptop out of wood and reto fitted all the pieces there, that would be awesome. and pretty freakin' hilarious

Well at least its different. Imagine taking that out with you on the streets. People would think its a bit of wood so you'd have less chance it getting it mugged off you.

Everyone that thinks it doesn't look right obviously don't see the benefits. When He's ready to sell that thing and he takes it off the contact paper it'll look amazing. I personally would've searched around for a more appealing pattern but it's still a lot more protected that ours. The contact paper should come off relatively easily and what doesn't should come off with a heat gun on low or some "Goof Off" but I'd get it off for sure.

Good job man

WHY??????

lol
yeah if you put it on a wooden surface nobody will steal it because it's camouflage
post #35 of 56
I don't mind it because it is unique.

I wouldn't cover my own in that though.

Don't use Goof Off on plastic it will melt it.

Also Intresting Laptop. I just painted my HP contact paper would have been cheaper and easier.
