Sony Vaio Notebook DRIVERS

Hello

I was looking for Drivers suitable for PCG TR3A and came across Drivers

Can anybody please confirm
- Are these Drivers suitable for Windows XP Pro?
- Apart from these which other Drivers are required?

Hi

For those considering, like me, upgrading to XP PRO, there is a link on the Sony FS550 website for IQ Knowledge Base Article C277389, which tells you how to save your drivers:

" What are the procedures and guidelines when upgrading the existing Microsoft® Windows® XP Home Edition operating system supplied with the computer to the Microsoft® Windows® XP Professional operating system?"

I saved the page so don't have the link but you should be able to find it. Also, if you just go to the support page from the Vaio Life shortcut on the desktop you will get to a page that has some driver links on it and some upgrades.

I have not done this yet as I am still evaluating the FS550 as it is, then need to make a complete set of backups before doing anything else. Home edition is more than OK for most things anyway, so I am going to take my time doing that - it is just nice to know I cna when I am ready, and they they have a procedure for doing it sucessfully.

Do you feel the software for Driver Backup like Driver Magician could be useful?
