Ok,
I need a well built laptop with good battery life
Performance isn't such an issue .. since I have a fast uniwill machine for games.
After looking at tons of reviews I found the IBM R51 for €995 (student discount)
With these specs:
Processor:
Intel Mobile Celeron 340 M Processor 1500 MHz, 400 MHz Front Side Bus, 512KB Cache
Geheugen:
256 MB PC 333 DDR RAM standaard, upgradeable tot 2048 MB
Harde schijf:
30 GB ATA-100
CD/DVD:
24X/24X/24X/8X CDRW / DVD Combo drive
Display:
15” XGA TFT-kleurendisplay, 1024x768x16,7 miljoen kleuren
Grafische kaart:
Intel Extreme Graphics2
Communicatie:
Geintegreerd, internationaal V.92 Modem (56 Kbps data, 14,4 Kbps fax), 10/100/1000 Ethernetadapter, INTEL Wireless-ready.
After reading a lot on the internet I found out that the celeron doesn't have speedstep .. i don't mind the lack of power of the celeron but I do mind the increasing battery life ... is this laptop a wise decission? I can't afford a t41
