So I just got a Lenovo Yoga 13. This is my review.
As what I primarily do is writing and programming, having a good keyboard is critical for me, which is why a tablet alone can’t work for me, and...
I have owned dozens of laptops in a variety of brands, and had many different laptops provided for my use at work. Without question, this is the finest I have owned. The Alienware M17x R2 is a...

I was very tempted to get the 7200rpm 60GB, but I reasoned that 60GB really is not that much space to have, so I got the 100GB 5400rpm(?) drive. Their price is about the same. While the 60GB drive is fast, you can never have enuff space...rite??
hmm, you do know that if you hit "help me choose" next to hard drives and then details you notice you in fact got a 100gb 4200rpm? Unless that is mislabeled ya undercut your performance laptop there.
I got the 80GB (don't know if it's a 4200rpm or a 5400rpm). I liked having the 7k60 in my T40p, but it's noisy and generates a lot of heat. I am sure the 80GB has more dense platters so transfer rates should be about the same, the only time it looses to the 7200rpm is during seeks.
Stuck with the "slow" 60. One might make the argument that a "faster" drive takes more battery or makes more heat. Would one notice? About the same chance of noticing a performance difference in regular tasks IMO.
Side note: I played HL2 on an external 4200 drive via FW... did great other than initial load times. <grin>
Yeah, can't do anything besides get the 60GB 7200RPM drive...need the speed, baby!
I'm immediately grabbing 2 100GB 7200RPM drives as soon as they come out at the end of this month(?)...price is no object...but, erm...anybody have any idea how much these suckers are gonna cost?

Got the 60gb 7200rpm drive. Figured that's more than enough for all my games and applications. Worst case is I'll need some extra storage for digital video and I can always get an external drive for that.
Ordered mine with the 60gb 7200 rpm drive. I see it like a stereo system. In this case, the laptop is only as good as your worst component. Why get a slw HD when you have all that other horsepower ?
Of the 5 i9200's I have had, four had the 5400 rpm 60 gb hardrive and the i9200 that I have right now has the 7200, take my word it is a "big" difference in speed.
Col. Wild,
I plan on taking mine into mettings, just have the LCD's flashing blue they'll know who's the boss. LeeU
I got the 60gb 7200rpm hard drive too. I hate waiting for things to load... I figure by the time my XPS 2 ships in in the second week of april, I will have changed the hard drive order to a 7200rpm 80gb or 100gb drive anyways.
