I got the free one, dvd+cdrw. I got an external DVD+RW burner to supplement.

Not just VD, D-VD, burner that is.

I got the DVD reader/ CD writer combo driver...I also have an external DVD+/- writer.

I also got the default DVD/CDRW writer...i don't have an external dvd burner, but plan on picking one up.

I got the DVD Burner. I am hoping it is the NEC 6500A....

DVD+/-RW for me. I create a lot of rather large files, so this suites me well.

dvd+/-rw for me too. Had one on my last laptop, and used it to archive lots of photos and other large files, so need to be able to read those disks. Plan on using the new one the same way too.

There was no option for me.. just the default 8x dvd-/+rw.

Even though I already have two different DVD burning machines I opted for the DVD burner. It's nice to have a machine that you can carry around that can burn 4.7 GB.

I don't burn dvds and even if I did I have one in my desktop so I went with the DVD/CD-RW.
