I am a graphic design. I want to know having a powerbook with 64 video ram will make photoshop slower vs. the 128 video ram ? or does it only affect video games?
mine has 64mb and it runs fine but tiger will havecore image and that will mean that certain apps can take advantage of the GUP and the extra ram would mean more images can be loaded on the the GUP maybe leading to faster PS speeds.
but this wont happen until the next version of photoshop comes out.
man, i think we are a fundamental disagreement about what core image is going to accomplish. It is NOT going to help speed up static 2d applications. It is NOT going to speed up filterring,
photoshops work is not held in gpu ram.. that's why it bitches about scratch disk
if we were talking about rendering there is room to allow that coreimage will speed thigns up, but we arent// photoshop is not a gpu intensive application as far as ram.. speed of the gpu is all that matters.
