I absolutely think that i9300 and iXPS2 has the almost the same specs

First; of the CPU is the same ; sonoma 2.0GHz 760
Secondly; the ram has the same speed; 533MHz
Thirdly; HDD speeds of course the same 7.2K like many lappys out there
Fourthly; Same screen option

Only the GPU is different XPS2 has the ULTRA card but 6800 has the regular NV 6800. That is of course not the same thing. But I thought paying an extra $700 is not worth it!

iXPS2 the lights were great but $700 ooooof anyway I am sure I will be happy with my i9300!!!

My order specs below;

Inspiron 9300
======================================
CPU - Pentium M 760 (2GHz/533MHz FSB)
RAM - 512MB, DDR2, 533MHz FSB
HDD - 60GB Ultra ATA 7200RPM
GPU - 256MB NVIDIA Geforce Go 6800
Screen - 17 inch True Life Wide Screen UXGA
Media - 8X DVD+/-RW (i hope a SONY)
Wireless - Dell Wireless 1450
O/S - Windows XP Home with S/P 2

Estimated shipment date; on or before 03/18/2005

======================================
and all other shites that normall comes with it!

Congrats. Yea, the deal I got did it for me too. I would have to pay an extra $700 to get the same specs from the XPS2. SO I am quite happy with my purchase. Welcome to the club. Hopefully our video cards are in shouting distance of the XPS2's....

Remember, the 9300 is also ~1 lb lighter, and gets ~1 or more hours battery life.

Still struggling with the decision...I guess I have till wednesday before the 35% deal is over.....

The numbers make sense to go with the 9300, but the pull of the XPS Gen 2 is STRONG!

the only main reason it is 1lb lighter is because it comes with the standard battery vs. xps2 coming standard with the 9 cell extended.

Order them both. Feel them in your hands. Experience the glow of the XPS2's LEDs, the raw power of the ultra, and the blazing gigabit ethernet.

And then send one of them back. Probably the XPS2. The thrill of the LEDs will only last a little while, but battery life is forever!

yea if i had 4000bucks cash in hand i would definaltly do it

but seriosly guys think this way

iXPS2 only only only but only offers amazing LIGHTS and an ULTRA card nothing else 700bucks really doesn't worth for them
