Thread Starter
I just got an 8600 last week.

When i first got it fully charged it would read, 4:00-4:15

Now its reading 3:30 fully charged and seems to drop fast.

Why is this?

Powerhungry fellows: FULL screen brightness, wireless, games, Quickset=Max performance. My current 8600 can last 4:20 using 97% of batt.

hit 6:54 hours once at school with fans off, brightness at 1 lvl, wireless on and sound off

Currently, I hit around 4 - 5 hours normal with wireless and 2 lvls below high brightness with sound on

I hit 3:10 with wireless, sound, and brightness at high and playing NFSU2

You don't happen to have a modular battery do you?

YEAH, i don't think the base 72WHr 9-cell battery of the 8600 will go as far as 6:54 hours.

on the D810 i can get 6 hours of websurfing and things like excel and word. Once i pop in a movie it's more like 4 hours. This is with no modular battery.

You folks are getting great batteries times. On my i8600, I get about 3.5 hours of actual use before my 10% remaining charge warning sounds off. I run it down to this level about once a month.
