I just bought a new laptop so I'm selling my old one:

UltraSharp UXGA

I have circled in red the problem area on the left palm rest. Because of the light you can't see it too well. If you have an lcd, look at the screen from an angle and you can see the scratches better. It is noticable, but doesn't affect the texture of the palm rest (doesn't make your wrist itch or something crazy) its basically just a cosmetic problem.

The bottom of the laptop showing the two easy access slots (RAM + mPCI slot)

Mini PCI Slot open showing open slot and pre-wired antenna. Perfect solution for adding integrated wireless

Items Included (besides laptop and power cords):

1 - Owner's Manual
2 - Windows XP Home CD (COA affixed to bottom of laptop)
3 - Pointer Stick Replacement
4 - Works Suite CD
5 - Drivers, utilities, and apps CD
6 - Roxio Easy CD Creator
7 - WinDVD cd
8 - USB 2.0 PCMIA card
9 - Netgear 802.11b PCMIA card (if wanted)

1280x1024? UXGA? Which is it?

according to the invoice which i still have, the screen is

US:UXGA

Ultra sharp UXGA.

------
UXGA according to an online Tech. Dictionary:

Short for Ultra Extended Graphics Array, a display specification that is capable of displaying 1600 x 1200 resolution, or approximately 1.9 million pixels.

My computer is able to display 1600x1200, and very well may be 1600x1200 native but i could never use that resolution anyway.. things are just too small. For some reason I thought it was 1280x1024 native, maybe i'm just egotistical since that's the resolution I've always used.
