Ok, will give that a go later in the evening after my work then...

Well, that makes three 3dmark05 scores we've seen so far, and they are all over the map:

2934
3534
4209

Canceled the XPS2 today and went with the 9300 (as listed in sig)
I just could not pass up the 35% savings since I will not be using it for hardcore gaming

Anyway I can't seem to find the Dell driver for download over at their own website... something is wrong?

If you're gonna go for modded drivers why not go Omega, they support mobile cards and they will tell you the stock frequencies.

I'm not going for modded drivers... well... not sure for now... but I'll be using the WHQL nVidia ForceWare for now...
there are laptopvideo2go drivers you can get that arn't modded. They are only modded in the sense that they add the inf to install them for the mobile cards. You can download the version that doesn't have any of the performance tweaks though.

Yes, they are modded to support all the go cards with some extra mobile specificed tabs

For the first website, they have been there for quite a while since the go440 days, while the second link, those driver are modded and hosted by some members in the driverheaven.

but if u don't like mod driver, then it's alright.

So far I trust the 3534 result. The guy who posted them gave the resolution, memory clock setting and posted other results which seemed to be consistent. The 4209 was admittedly an OC'ed result and I don't see anything to back up the 2934 number at all.
when you reinstall your drives can you run the 3dmark 05 again plz? just to see how much things changed? though if it can over clock to the scores you have that is still awsome

Ok, will reinstall the drivers later on at night, its only 12PM over here in Singapore, and I'll do the same benchmark and post it here again.

Sorry for the ruckus...

Hey, thanks for the numbers! This is the first OC result we've seen, and it looks good! Any idea about battery life?

(BTW, I think you've convinced me to cross the XPS2 off my list -- the 9300 has enough punch for me!)

About 2hours for my present config, LCD brightness at 3.
Yah, that's a fairly drastic overclock you have going. If your not getting choppy fps or freezing, id' say that's some good OC potential

Is that with the stock 6 cell battery or a 9 cell?

Please don't cancel XPS2... that is the best notebook money can buy... if not for the fact that I live in Singapore I'll definate buy the XPS2 without hesitation... Please do not cancel it as my benchmarks might be wrong cause it seems that my card is overclocked when I got it...

Stock 6 cell.

Cool, that's what I'd expect since the XPS 2 is supposed to get 2:15 off the 9 cell. I ordered my 9300 with a spare 9 cell battery so with the 2 combined I should be good for 5 hours. :-)
