To all of you out there, thanks for the great info sharing and discussion! Have been lurking for about a month now and am quite impressed with many of the posts here, especially regarding technical issues. Ordered a 9300, the morning they came out, maxed out almost, with lots of extras, ship date 3-24. Cost around 3 g's after 20% off. I owned a 9200 with the bad screen previously. 9200 was awesome except for the screen. Ordered 2nd day shipping and live near Nashville, Tennessee. If Dell really is shipping from Nashville, I will likely be one of the first to get it, been in boxing almost 3 days already. 9300 is nearby, I can feel it. Will let you know if I'm one of the first. Thanks again for all the great info!

i called about my order status and was told that there is a delay due to availability of the bluetooth part.

Aha, maybe the bluetooth part is holding back my system too. It doesn't say on hold or anything, and their is no 'lead time' for it in the forums.

That would make sense because I ordered mine with the Dell Bluetooth 350 module and its still in preproduction. And it actually says on dell's order status site that the amount of time an order spends in preproduction actually depends on the availability of all parts.
UNInspector: Did you order your system with bluetooth?

Ordered Bluetooth on my system as well, but no real delays so far, possibly a shortage after the first day or two I suppose.

Replying to LUOLOGY1's question. Yes you can change the name of your business although for some reason it is under the 'Shipping Preferences'. Not sure why.

No, I don't think there is a shortage of blueteeth. I just went on both the Homo and the BS Dell sites and configured the 9300 with bluetooth and it didn't impact the ship date at all. If they were back ordered, it would. Isn't Dell usually pretty good about reporting that? Also, the 1.73 Penitum Ms no longer cause the ship date to be "Unavailable". I think whoever said Dell sometimes just doesn't update the order status is right. This is what I've seen before. SURE WOULD BE NICE TO SEE SOME PROGRESS, THOUGH! And why does order processing on the BS site take 2 days over Homo's 1?

But seriously how long is the building stage usually? Its a week as of today and its still building. What are they doing? Mining the raw silicon for intel to make the chips....:S

Wiered thing I noticed is that when I checked my status online, my status was just at the kitting stage. When I called Dell for status, thier automated system told me I was in the build stage. This discrepancy has been like this for about a day. Don't know who to believe. But they both agree that I will recieve by 3/21

OK, just checked this morning.....my order is now in the "Inproduction" stage. At least there is some progress.

And by calling the phone order system, it specifically says it's in the "Build" stage vs. just "Inproduction" on the online status page. So it's true that the phone system its a little more updated.

Yep. I just called and got the same thing. Phone says I'm in build and online only has "in production"
9300 supposed to ship by the 21st...

I finally got information. I posted on the Dell Community Forums for Order Support, and DELL-Chandler got back to me today, saying that their is a 10 day lead time for new 9300 systems. He said it wasn't the Bluetooth causing the delay, but the system itself.
