9860 Messenger Bag?

It's been said before and I'll say it again, the bag that comes with this notebook sucks. It strains under the weight. Does not inspire confidence.

My coworker wrapped his notebook in this combo: http://www.sfbags.com/products/mambo...cozmosuite.htm

The sleeve rocks. I love it. He got it with a flap and strap so it is used for normal to and from the office. I'm not sure if I like the bag or not though. It's definately nifty, but with the sleeve in it, there isn't much space left. But it looks like I'll have to go this route as well.

Has anybody else found a bag that fits this notebook that is acceptable for business trips? I've searched high and low, gone to every link I could find on NBF. I've found nice bags, strange bags, 'designer' bags that I would expect to see a runway model carrying... But what I want is something that will fit the sleeve from sfbags.com inside it for business trips and allow me to be minimalistic during normal day-to-day to and froing.

Is there anything I've overlooked!?!

Thanks!

I've decided to stay away from backpacks as I need this bag for business travel mostly. Otherwise I think I'd get the Alienware XL backpack.

Thanks for the reply though.

Try http://www.chromebags.com

I have two of these and use them for motorcycle trips. They are very durable. They also sell a laptop sleeve although I am unsure if it correctly fits the 9860...

Despite the fact that many people enjoy using notebook cases, if you have a 9860 i would recommend using a Backpack for laptops. I've been looking around and have found that most people recommend using a Targus backpack (either the 312, 315, and the MASSIVE XL615, the 312 and 315 are just the same bag but different colors). From the reviews that i have read, most notable Adam's review of all three, if u plan on traveling alot and carrying extra traveling stuff such as clothes+ the 9860 and stuff(power brick, mouse, blah blah blah) then u should check out the Targus XL 615. Also Check out Adam's Review on the Backpacks!

The Weird thing is that the XL 615 is cheaper than the 312 or 315 like by $15. When I get the 9860 (wOOt ) or something of that magnitude (ITS A FREAKIN BEAST) without a doubt I'm getting the Targus XL615 unless something better comes out.

Hope this helps

PlanetBoogie: Thanks man. Those look nice, but I don't think they'll go over a suit very professionally.

HaXoR: Please look at my other post. I don't want a backpack.

Thanks guys. Anyone else have any ideas? I'm getting desperate here...

OMG this forum rocks! Thanks dma! I knew I'd forgotten about someone. I'd been to mobiledge's site before when researching the Alienware bags. I'm going to go take measurements from my friends sleeve right now, but I'd bet that will fit. I think i'll go for the preium briefcase.

Score!

Hey no problem Do let me know how you like it, I'm still undecided myself, though this one made my top 3 list.

My list was:

http://www.ebags.com/pacific_design/...?modelid=44340 (4 lbs a bit heavy)

(kinda cool, and has backpack straps, but complaints about weight)

Thanks Guys,

Yeah, I think the mobile edge bag is the way to go for me. As well as the SF sleeve. I'll order in the next couple of days.

NO BACKPACK!

I placed an order for Crumpler's Crisp Suit for my iXPS2... i'll let you know how it is when i get that... personally i didn't want a bag that had TARGUS or something on it, or something that looked like a laptop bag. The Crumpler's bags look like a fashionable bookbag to me, which was exactly what i wanted.
