All this eyecandy only costs me ~25mb of ram and hardly any CPU usage. I haven't had any problems with objectdock hogging system resources, but then again, I have plenty of ram.
Once I saw yours... I had to do this to my ASUS Z71V

Thanks for the ideas

Are you people finding that your laptops are performing *slightly* worse when you use those skins (Style XP or WindowsBlinds, whatever)? I did it to my VERY old 2.7 ghz Intel Celeron Dell Dimension...and i don't know if i'm just not used to the slow cpu speed, or if my computer is actually running slower. Like...the dock takes up a little bit of memory, and the widgets take up a little bit, and the calender...any change?

Glad I gave you some inspiration GTrance.

Sassypants, if you have enough ram the extra eyecandy doesn't make a difference at all. Actually I felt that windowblinds was slightly faster than the default GUI. All told, these programs are only using about ~30mb of ram which is hardly anything compared to XP. Windows by itself uses a minimum of 256mb of ram so the programs really don't make much of an impact.

If you notice that you computer is slugish, it's more likely that you have adware, spyware, or a virus.

The arrival of summer inspired me to modify my wallpaper!

Here's the old one I already posted before:

And here's the brand new summer-edition!

Hmm.. I kinda like it more now - all cheesy and cluttered.

Phobic that's a sweet BG. Where did you get it? Hopefully there's a WSXGA+ version for it.
