Here is my little Asus S5n, rainelndar, and Konfabulator, and of course a slick windows style off of deviant art.

How's that Konfabulator working for you Spotdog? I downloaded the app for my dekstop and drooled over all the widgets, then started thinking if I really needed all those mini-apps running. I had mini IP running, Power XP, a Calender, and tried several others. I love 'em, but then I began wondering if my desktop even needed such enhancements. Got task manager, can roll the mouse over the Windows Time to get the date, and it's only two clicks away to shut off the computer.

Looks like you have the most useful widgets: Batt power and Wi Fi signal. Even the little note pads would be lost on me. My wife would just argue I should use Outlook as my calendar of events. At least it's free now. With all the great widgets still available.

i like it a lot, but i dont have them auto start on startup becaus when im running during class, i dont need that stuff running.

I like the calendar thing a lot, i dont htink i could live without it!! it sync's with outlook which is even nicer!

ooh, that's good to know about Outlook. I may add that. I dl'ed it here at work. The "Slickies" are nice for putting reminder notes right on the desktop. And they save when you shut down, so you can make a quickie task list and have it available to read the next day. thanks for the info dog!

Don't have a special theme because they always have stupid little bugs. And this one fits well with everything. 8)

Pretty happy with this desktop. Has a sleak and soothing feel to it.
