I am testing out Y'z Dock from using objectdock and though it was easier to create the icons (just drag onto the dock, maybe you could do that with objectdock too, never occurred to me) I can't figure out how to do the majority of things. I can't delete separators and I can't get my open windows to show on it. Image is sharper and smoother though, but function over style.

yea, you can drag and drop shortcuts on objectdock too. if you try the newest version of objectdock you'll find that almost all the bugs have been fixed. also, y'z dock is no longer in development.

Close the dock, go to the Y'z Dock folder, and open the configuration settings file called "itemlist" in notepad. The lines that consist of only "-----" represent the separators, so delete the one representing the one you want to get rid of.

What exactly do you mean by this? It should have some sort of marker over which programs are running. If you want it to have a function similar to the windows taskbar, where it allows you to select the different windows you have open, then you are out of luck. Y'z Dock won't replace the taskbar.

I ended up giving objectdock the $20 for a plus version. Very nice application, love the tabs. Thanks for recommending this software!

I was used to say y'z dock is better. But after i tested the final version of objectdock i've changed my mind. And the main criteria is what u've written davisboy. " y'z dock is no longer in development ".
Yes guyz, try objectdocks final release.

Phobic, you have a nice desktop there
but it might be muck eyecandy with a docking software like objectdock or YzDock, IMO.

I'll agree with 2Berk about Objectdock. It has become the most stable and useful of the "dock" programs out there. The reason I chose objectdock was for the "flyout" menus. See my pic for an example.
I've also skinned Windows media player to resember iTunes. It looks very nice and is functional too. Plus WMP only takes up 8mb of ram vs. 40mb for iTunes.
The IM program is Trillian 3.0 Pro w/ iChat skin.
