I agree, those are really good wallpapers. Where did you grab them from? I hope they have a widescreen version.

Edit: Well I found that girl one at http://www.d4rkw00d.net but dammit it's not in widescreen

I don't know but can't you just hide it?

I have sent the wallpapers requested. Hope you like them as much as I do.

Great places to find wallapers are www.osx-e.com and www.deviantart.com. I find most of the ones I use from those 2 places. There are plenty of others I'm sure.

Added desktop sidebar to the list of items I'm using.

(hopefully this is repeat post in this thread... I didn't look.. but certainly a better choice than deviantart, etc for widescreen)

JFvergara, you can autohide the taskbar and use an start menu docklet in Objectdock. Don't know if that's what you looking for, but I hope that helps.

found this rather nice wallpaper at deviantART

I've tried using special docs before, and as cool as it looks I can't get used to using my taskbar on the top of my screen. And I owned an iBook for a year. I think Windows just works so well when the start button is on the bottom. I guess Microsoft firmly implanted that chip in my brain.

@ xir

Although I'm looking for a notebook right now, the other part of the picture seems to be more interesting

So after looking through the thread, I finally decided I'd go with a mac skin.

I must admit, even though it's really really hawt, I can see myself going back to normal windows set up (the task bar goes on the BOTTOM!!!), but I'm going to try it and hopefully get used to it.

Nighthawk, I'm really curious as to how you got the drives/folders on the side like that displaying sizes and stuff =)

I use Avedesk 1.2 to get the icons on my desktop. You can custom the icons to display whatever information you want. It is highly customizable and FREE. I also have DesktopX but I use avedesk because it uses less resources for what I'm using it for. Avedesk uses 900k of memory!

You can get it here:

The reason I have my taskbar at the top of the screen is because I hated having the dock at the top of the screen (w/ the taskbar at the bottom). It took awhile but I got used to using the taskbar at the top.
