my dad worked three jobs...those were the days when people didn't care about what kind of job they had, they just cared they had any kind of job...you find ways to improve your situation...if you just whine about it, you will never improve it.
americans consume more than any other country in the world...ask yourself why? it's b/c we have fallen into the marketing hype and the american dream, and the catching up with the joneses. look at what most people use their computers for? word processing, surfing the net, sending emails, and maybe doing some photo editing. that don't take no new computer...i still have a PIII that works perfectly for that. but why do we want something new? we could buy a refurbished PII or PIII, but consumers don't...they think they have to get new to work...i also owned a 1972 mercedes and 1974 bmw..why, b/c they are great cars and they last...you have choices...you don't have to buy the newest and greatest...
okay, this is coming from a person who has 2GB ram, a $500 motorola RAZR (yeah, i got it for free...always do cell business with the chinese in LA), just ordered the toshiba SD bluetooth adapter without knowing whether it will work for sure on the 700m, etc etc...but hey, i'm not whining that gates or dell has more money than me...nor do i care that losers are losing their jobs to people who can do it better for cheaper
another point about cheap labor: it is far more expensive to employ cheap labor that is poor quality than it is to employ good labor..so what does that tell us? it tells us?
