Your favourite screen resolution

Well for shits n giggles I thought it would be interesting to see what everyones' optimal screen is for the kind of stuff they do.

My personal fave is 1680 x 1050 on a 17' inch widescreen display.

I must be one of the only guys here who thinks that 1900 x 1200 is just that bit too small?

I have actually never seen a wuxga or uxga screen. However, I am very comfortable with my wsxga+ 17 inch screen. Though, I think that on a screen of this size, going up in resolution a little bit wouldnt be bad. Though for anything smaller, uxga would, i would imagine, be painful.

So i am voting for 1680x1050 at 17 in too!

1600 X 1200

1400x1050 on 15", which has pixels of exactly the same size as 17" 1680x1050.

15.4" WSXGA+ (ie 1680x1050)
I can live with 1280x800, but I believe I would like WSXGA... or maybe I would think it's too small.... who knows? Resolution? only if it's widescreen. About this, I'm sure.

1920x1200 on a 23" wide screen lcd
lol 1280x1024 isn't even a 4:3 res its just made up, i use 1280 on my desktop dual displays, looks the nicest,

SXGA looks the best IMO on LCD, UXGA is WAY too small on a 15" i can see it no problems but with some small text on websites i cant really see that well, i have perfect 20/20 vision btw

I use 1024*768 or 1280*1024 on my desktop. My laptop has 1400*1050, but I find everything looks a bit to small. I'm a fan of 1280*800

1280 x 1024 for me. They're talkin' about this over in the gaming forum:

Sounds like a blossoming internet romance. You guys should hook up, Doom3Groupie

1280 x 1024 is also the resolution i love. I set all my games onto that res.

I use 1600x1200 on a 20" Dell now (soon to be replced by the 24") so anything beyond 1680x1050 on a 15.4" wide laptop is going to be too small for me, especially since my laptop usually sits a bit further away than the desktop LCD. That's one reason I haven't ordered a Acer TM8100 to replace my Aspire 2025 yet.

I think 1920 x 1200 (WUXGA) on a 17 inch screen is pretty peachy.

1600x1200 on 20" = 100 PPI
1280x800 on 15.4" = 98 PPI
and
1680x1050 on 15.4" = 129 PPI

You seem to like pixel densities of about 100 per inch.
