Has anyone tried extended desktop with the i6KD? Right before I went to bed last night I gave it a try and it works, but not well. The max resolution on my 17" ViewSonic monitor is 1024x768. When I had it hooked up before to my IBM Thinkpad, the image on the CRT was crisp, clear, and pretty much perfect. However, using the 6000 it is dull, dark, and has weird distortions. Is this a problem with not having monitor-specific drivers for my ViewSonic?
This is a major problem for me because I do a TON of photoediting (being a small studio owner and photographer in addition to my insurance job). I cannot do the editing on the LCD of the i6KD because it is so much brighter than real life. If you process a pic to look good on the LCD it ends up being VERY dark when printed. My whole justification for going with a laptop was being able to use extended desktop and have the actual image on the CRT and pallettes on the LCD.
Thanks...
