i6KD: LCD casing question...

Does anyone else's LCD casing bow out from the base of the screen? It is not a huge gap but it is at least a good 1/8th of an inch. The casing is flush everywhere else. This isnt something thats going to make me send it back to dell but its kind of annoying. Is this normal or can it be fixed, either by me or by a Dell hom repair dude?

Thanks.

Anyone? If yours doesnt do this I'd be interested in that too. Either way I could use the info when calling Dell.

Hi dino,
my I6000 came yesterday and i was dissappointed with it. First of all, the lcd casing is really cheap and then my screen has about 100 ! messed up pixels on a black background. So i have decided to return the I6000 and get a I9300 with WUXGA. Hope the WUXGA isnt defective

Sorry to hear about your bad luck. As far as I can see I seem to have gotten a perfect screen - no dead pixels anyway - but the casing bothers me a bit. I hope you like the 9300 better but I must say I doubt the build quality will be significantly better. My understanding is that its basically the same case as the i6000 except bigger.
