Thank for all the help everyone. I cannot believe it, I saved enough to get my wife a new laptop! Due 3/25/05! I truly appreciate all the threads that have been posted... a great help. A friend of mine is kicking himself. He recently bought a Latitude and paid a lot more than I just did, only he got half the machine. Man am I glad that I found this board.

I'll keep you posted after arrival.

The wireless card is good... thought I ordered an Atheros Super-G 108Mbps online and yet to receive it. I'm using a full super-G 108mbps network at home, so 54G to me is very very very slow...

Woo I'm joining the 9300 club too *highfives*

Almost the same configuration, except
- 1GB RAM
- 60GB 7200RPM
- XP Home
- 4 year onsite completecare

I'm so excited

Mine's projected on the 23rd. $2250-100mail-in rebate. One thing about Dell, you can't beat their prices.

Hi Guys, I'm brand new to this forum after dicovering it at 2:30 this morning after my son woke me up. (don't ask) I wish I had known about it before because I have been researching a new notebook and have decided on the Dell 9300. Needless to say I didn't know about any of the coupons, and now it looks like it's too late for me to use the 35% coupon; which just expired. Does anyone know when new coupons will be offered and how often they are released?
Without getting involved in too much ball washing, I appreciate how well informed the "veterans" of this forum are, as well as the consideration and help you offer us "noobs".

Use this coupon in the Home division for $750 off: ?W$W$3K$D5R90Q
post #11 of 18
Thanks for the reply. Any idea if they would offer the 35% discount again?
The 750 is about as good as it is gonna get. I would pull the trigger on it. The laptop is worth the price of entry. As a sidenote if you use Dell credit they will give you another 2% off of it which could be in the neighborhood of $50. I mean come on, $800 off retail even with some other deals is a hell of a steal...

Yes, don't research it or anything. This was Dell's last sale ever and after this, it will always be full price. So you better move fast or you'll miss out!

I haven't been hanging around the Dell section very long, so I don't know. But all reports are that Dell got inundated with 9300 orders. More than they expected, so it does seem likely they won't issue a new good rebate until at least those orders settle down. That could be as soon as next week, though. Or even tomorrow. The 750 deals is great if you're getting a lower end system that would come out under $2300 without any discount. These deals seam to be a dime a dozen though.

Does anyone ever half to wait more that 2 weeks for one of these "fantastic" deals to come out? Dell always has everything on sale except for about 4 days a year (not all together), which is probably some minimum trade regulation.

Well, I have been frequenting these forums for over a year and lurking longer than that and this is about as good as it will get till the EOL in my humble opinion. Something with equal specs "retail" i.e. Best Buy, online elsewhere, etc will be WAY more than what we are paying.

This isn't any relation to the "mile high" club is it?

Even if it isn't, I'm still in.

My very first laptop: 9300

I just ordered the 9300 after hours of looking for the right notebook to fill my needs. I do gaming a lot and hopefully, this "baby" will indulge me. I would like to be able to surf the net and do gaming at the same time. This notebook stands out to be more powerful than my desktop.

Here are the specs of my order:
Pentium M 730 (1.60 Ghz/533 Mhz FSB)
XP Home
17 WideScreen UXGA with True Life
512MB Dual Channel DDR2
256 NVIDIA GeForce Go 6800
60GB 7200RPM HD
1450 Internal Wireless
9-cell Lithium Ion
1-yr Limited Warranty, Mail-In and Technical Support

Total Price: $1402.38
S & H: Free (next day shipping)
Tax: $87.65
Total: $1490.03

I applied the $750 coupon since it's the best deal so far plus I have a 2% discount using the DPA and I'm hoping this laptop won't give me problems since I opted for the least Warranty to keep the price below $1500

I think I had a good deal. What do u think?
