14" with Superdrive or 12" with Combo?

So I'm wanting to get an iBook. I've been using a PC for years, but want to get into video stuff, music and have better opportunities for photos and whatnot.

I'm wondering if I should go with the smaller 12" (I'd be taking it with me to a lot of places, road trips, flying, snowboard trips and the like) or if I should go for the 14". I know the 14 has the superdrive option, and comes with a 1.33ghz whereas the 12 only has a combo drive and 1.2ghz, so I'm looking for opinions. I'd fully load whichever i got (highest memory, HD space) so any opinions on the size vs. functionality would be awesome.

honestly.. i'd get the superdrive 12" powerbook. The 14" res is too low for the display so you may as well save the screen space. It starts with twice as much ram and hard drive.

i don't think the price diff from 14" superdrive to 12" pb superdrive is big enough to warrant getting the ibook.. especially once you add a larger hard drive.

just my thoughts.. the faster the proc the better for video.. and the 12" form factor is also better imho. If the res was higher on the 14" ibook, i'd take a second to reconsider that, but it's not.. which means it looks like kindergarten pixels

but remember that the 14 inch ibook has great battery life (5 hours+) compared to the 3 hours on a powerbook.

a powerbook would be better for video editing and pro apps, but a ibook with maxed ram would do the job fine and you will have a great battery life and durability advantage.
