| First, I am not a kid looking for a freebie. Im a customer expecting to receive good service when I order a product. I challenge anyone out there to find another company that would take 5 days to ship a mouse unless it was out of stock. (I say 5 days, but as of the time of this post it still hasnt shipped) It might only be a mouse but I believe it is indicitive of a larger problem at Alienware. Even though I like my 5500, it will make me think twice before dropping another 3000 on a laptop from a company that takes this long to ship a mouse. Maybe steaming might have been an overstatement, but as of right now, im pretty pissed. Come on, does anyone out there really think it should take this long to ship a mouse. |

The "credit card" is not a revolving credit account, it's a way for Alienware to offer financing for their products to their customers. When you apply for their financing, they send the information to their lender, and it's treated like a loan. The limit is basically to indicate that they've approved you at that time for that amount of purchase. If you use it again in the future, the same procedure is followed, so basically you applied for a loan to buy a mouse. If you want a mouse overnight, try newegg or tigerdirect, or go to the mall, Office Depot, CompUSA, local computer shop, Best Buy, Circuit City, Office Max, EB Games, or look in any computer magazine for mail order parts warehouses, discount computer parts stores, even Microsoft. You have lots of options rather than working yourself into a froth about Alienware not dropping everything in order to mail you a $45 part. If you want an Alienware mouse, then you'll have to wait a week to get it, unless of course you apply for a loan to buy it... I'd suggest you get a real credit card, and a checking account. And you can also learn about wiring money, bank checks and money orders for your pressing purchase requirements. |

All of us on these forums have experienced the finance dept, who if truth be told, couldn't find its collective ass with as flashlight and a mirrored wall. Do you REALLY need a mouse that badly? Is Home and Garden coming around? And will you lose the cover of the Spring Edition because your mouse isn't matching your keyboard? Because if that's the case, then I have a suggestion for you. Go to BestBuy or CircuitCity and look for mice....you will find shiny ones, coloured ones, painted ones, laser ones, painted coloured shiny and laser ones, most with balls..., or wonder of wonders, a shiny red bottom! Even better, using the old crappy mis-matched mouse you have now, goto newegg.com or Xoxide.com and from the comfort of your own home, USE ANOTHER CREDIT-CARD
to order yourself the mouse of your dreams, availability NOW: Shipping: next business day.Bottom line, it's a mouse, get over it. |

If what you are saying is correct, which I highly doubt it, Alienware needs to tell you that you are going through a loan process everytime you use their CREDIT CARD. No one in their right mind would go through a loan process for a 47 dollar mouse. Are you that stupid that you would think I would take out a loan for a 47 dollar mouse if I thought that that was the way they worked. It is advertised as a credit card which should be able to be used just like a Best Buy or any other store type credit card. And do you really believe the crap you put in that post. Do you think it should take anyone 5 days and counting to process an order for a mouse. They are either severely understaffed or their information system needs a complete overhaul. Either way, as a consumer, thats not my problem. I will just choose to take my business elsewhere in the future.

Seems you were unable to make the purchase with another card, a check or a money order because you're broke. So in fact Alienware allowing you to buy a mouse on their credit is convenient. |
