i9200 - SpeedStep problem

I am having a problem with speedstep. I have created a "custom" power profile with Quickset. When I select this profile I am having problems. If I unplug my notebook and then plug it back it in I can not get it above 800mhz (even if the CPU is maxed). Any ideas?

Try SwitchSpeedXP. Do a Google and it will come up right away.

Thanks, but I rather not use that. I just want speedstep to work correctly. It seems to be a Quickset bug. Has anyone else noticed this?

Try using the Home/Office Desk setting on the power meter setting and see if that fixes anything.

Am I the only one having this problem?

It's probably something that Quickset does on purpose, and you probably won't be able to directly change it. Try setting up a profile under power properties, and see if it does what you want.
