For development purposes, I am looking to move from the original WinXP Home to Debian on my TravelMate 244LC.
My problem is, I want to be able to recover back to XP at a later date as the system is pushed back out under our usual upgrade program.
The policy is that we are allowed to do anything we wish to the system, provided it can returned to the OEM default restore point, available with the system.
I have a partition lebeled ACERDATA, with what I gather is recovery data. My problem is, that I don't know if or not I can delete this, without having problems at a later date.
Can I delete it, provided I have the recovery CD?
It is 9.75GB , with only 1.25GB used, so gives quite a bit of free space should I need it.
I can manage on the other 18GB partition for all my needs.
If I don't delete the second partition, and just use the 18GB for Debian, what would I need to do later, to go back to the restore?
Simply regrade a FAT32 partition?
