Ship Weight: 9 lbs.

Shipping Method: Best Way - Saturday

Subtotal:$1,749.00

then i went to "my account"

looked at order status

saw my Acer Travelmate 8104... for 1749.99

clicked the "Status" link

and Order Status = Cancelled.

Strangely enough, the Order Total came out to 24.99, the price of the Saturday Shipping.

So i thought "well Lets Try It Again!"

So I ordered one with normal ground shipping Price 0.00 and the same thing happened.

Order STatus = Cancelled.

fliwel342lkejl32ej!~!!!!

I am on the phone with their customer service. Giving me a bunch of bull crap answer that, sorry someone had just place the last order right before yours, so the order have been cancelled because we no longer have inventory of it. blah blah blah...

I replied, this is NOT a discontinued product, it is NOT a product in which the manufacture stop production on, so you can not tell me it is no longer a product...

he placed me on hold....

come back saying that "SKU" number is no longer being on order and it is no longer an offered product.

I replied, the "SKU" number is a number in which PCCONNECTION gives a product. No matter how many version of the SKU number you give it it is still the exact same product in which Acer deem it to be...

The supervisor comes on line rude and said you have the wrong interruptation of the the product. You do not know the product and we will not sell this product as it is no longer a valid product.

Blha blh blah!

so did they cancel the orders already placed or did they just bring the page down?

Sorry smilepak, back to the laptop decision grind I guess.

Blah! It was worth a shot, but dang their customer service rep is stupid and their supervisor is dumb!

By the way, the supervisor told me that item is a refurb item

back to waiting for a Z71V review in the coming weeks... almost got this one with that price!

Guys it was inevitable that it was going to get cancelled. But at the end of the day things like this happen. I remember when the x-box just came out a U.K. on-line shop accidentally priced them as £200 with three games and two joy pads normally £500, but by law they had to sell the x-boxes at that price to the people which ordered them at the crazy price then they changed them back to £500. This should happen here too

exactly, but that apparently isn't going to happen. Usually the webpage/company will put somewhere a clause about being idiots essentially to cover their bums. But apparently as smilepak found out they just chose to be idiots instead. Either way it is poor all around.

p.s. I think I might need to stay away from pc connection in the future

It is not inevitable. There are actually consumer protection laws in most states that say they have to honor the price marked. There are some pretty serious fines if they do not honor the marked price. You can order items on back order from them...just an FYI. They are just trying to get out of there little screw up.

Man, i don't know whatever happen to PCCONNECTION, but back in the late 90s, they will honor no matter what mistake they've done. I've gotten a US Robotics Couier at the time at pretty good price and a Toshiba Satellite Pro 4300 at a pretty good price from them too.

Somehow their customer service went south and hired rude and dump people.
